Ivy League

October 21, 2008

Yesterday, I got to go and shoot an event at the Harvard Princeton Yale Club in Pittsburgh. I’ve probably walked past the building a hundred times, and never noticed that it was there. The Neghborhood Legal Services Association was having an event there to kick off their Equal Justice campaign. They focus on making sure those who need legal services can get them, even if they aren’t able to afford them on their own. It’s a good cause that has done a lot of great work for the Pittsburgh area, so it’s always fun to be involved in that sort of thing.

Happy Birthday!

October 16, 2008

Last Sunday, I got to hang out at the lovely Longue Vue Club with the Acheson family. The girls were hosting a birthday dinner party for their mother, and wanted me to photograph the event. They are a lovely family, and did a fantastic job of decorating the room. A new photo series is up on the website (www.mooreclick.com), and there will be one featured on the photo-a-day site soon.

Rebooked

October 12, 2008

As it turns out, the folks at Martinizing liked the photos I took so much, they’ve asked me to come back up and take a few ‘action shots’ of them working. I’m always excited to get repeat business, and they were all so nice to work with for the first shoot. We haven’t firmed up a date just yet, but I’m looking forward to it.

Taken to the cleaners

October 11, 2008

I had such a good time shooting Scott & family at Martinizing Dry Cleaning in Wexford. It’s a family run place, and they wanted some nice portraits to hang in the lobby, and a few to use for marketing. Of course, I couldn’t stop taking pictures of their two little girls. Too cute.

On a personal note, John and I have booked our trip to DC at the end of November. I’m hoping all the election brouhaha will have wound down by then. I’m also using some of my freelancing money to buy a good winter coat. You’d think living in Pennsylvania I’d be better equipped to handle cold weather, but you’d be incorrect. You can of course expect a new photo series on the site when we get back.
